Chokecherries, Wild Plums and Wild Sandcherries are all native to the Nebraska Sandhills. They grow
wild along road ditches, in pastures and along the Birdwood Creek.
They both bloom white blooms in the spring. If Mother Nature
delivers a late frost, the crop will be lost. They are both hand
picked in August. |
